Generally the recommendation is bring someone you are working on until 5 stars, then when you get all that you are working on to 5 stars, take them to 7(meaning if you are working on Phoenix, do Hera, Ezra both to 5 stars since they share an energy source, then take one to 7, then the other to 7).
Another thing no one recommended to you is work on scoundrels for credit heist and training Droid events. Credits is a bottle neck later in the game. Storm Trooper Han works for these events and is needed for end game (to get commander Luke skywalker). Boba fett is a strong early game character and bounty hunters are getting lots of love currently. You have embo from his Marquee event. Enfys Nest will be farm able soon and hopefully accessible, she's an amazing toon and can do these events essentially solo. I love me some Lando and he's one of the best early on area of effect damagers.
Everyone talking about Snowtrooper forgets he's a horrible farm and while they give him to you for free early, you can't actually work on him until later in the game. Someone like General veers is a much quicker dark side character to farm (on 3 hard nodes) and is an absolute must character on imperial Trooper squad
