Yep, Vader is a very solid toon. His leadership Zeta is excellent in raids and he rocks the sith and empire tags which means he gets double benefits from a Palp lead.
He's not THE best toon but he's up there. Especially if you run a lot of debuff toons (culling blade then hurts, a lot), his force crush can't be evaded and inflicts speed down once it's omega'd.
So you'll want Vader for a while.
