How to use wat tambor properly

I've been playing for about 5 years now and one thing that irritates me more than mods is trying to figure out how to use support only toons like c3p0 and wat tambor properly. Some non attack support toons like hermit Yoda and mon mothma are pretty straight forward to use as their abilities are easy to understand. I tried using wat once in a separatist droid squad in territory battle and while I managed to win with no issues, I had almost no clue what I was supposed to do with him. I had him restoring protection and health but beyond that I didn't have a clue. I know he's a big contribution to rancor challenge raid with specified toons but I'd like to better understand how to use him in future battles.

    Since the nerf, he's really only good for the tank tech to cleanse debuffs and keep your tank taunting. The turn meter tech is barely useful, and medpac was only ever kind of useful (outside of TB)

    Jesus. This game is really going downhill if they have to start nerfing difficult to acquire toons just because they might be a little too good in some areas. Wat was such a big target for my guild to farm for to make progress in rancor challenge raid and now he's becoming a one hit wonder and losing effectiveness despite not even being able to inflict damage. Makes me lose faith in wanting to unlock new toons fearing at some point they will be nerfed to near uselessness

    CG doesn't care how you feel about it. It's "for the good of the game" and to "allow for simpler kits." Not that they'll actually make simpler kits, mind you.
