I Need Rogue One Advice

I've been stuck at 105/106 on LSTB for a while because I have been unable to defeat the Rogue One mission. I'm running Jyn (L) g11, Cassian g12, K2SO g12, Chirrut g11, SRP g11. Decent mods, all +54-87 speed. Are Jyn or Cassian's zetas a good investment for this mission? Do you think it can be done w/o a zeta, but by gearing to g12 across the board? I get fairly close, but the TM gains on that last stage are bananas. I'd appreciate any advice to take me over the top (short of farming Baze - too many other priorities for that). Thanks!

  • Mods are probably your problem. I do it (barely) with G12 Jyn/Cassian/K2/Chirrut and G8 Baze, with arena quality mods. You shouldn't need zetas.
  • Don't underestimate the power of mods. Move strong mods to your R1 team for this mission. Move them back to your arena team (or whatever) aftwards.

This is almost certainly it. I don't have a full Rogue One team so I haven't tried that node yet, but you have everyone at G11/G12, which based on the other required team nodes should be more than enough. Check out everyone's speed and whatever other stats are key for them: offense/crit damage/crit chance for Jyn & Cassian, HP/Protection and defense for K2 and SRP.

You might also try replacing SRP or K2 with Bistan or Pao, since the 2-tank setup leaves you a little light on firepower.

Also, Jyn and Cassian's zetas are pretty "eh." I wouldn't bother with them.
  • Dont listen to that. I run that mission with Zeta Lead Jyn, which grants my tanks and Everyone else 5% return protection on every Buff, and between Baze and Chirrut and Cass's starting buffs I pretty regularly get to the end mission with full protection on every unit, G12 Jyn, Chirrut, Baze *(For awhile now)* but was doing it with G11 Jyn/Baze G10Chirrut + G9 K2 + Cass (But all had high protection/speed secondaries and the proper amount of potency) Just a bit south of Arena quality but definitely above B-Class mods.

With the 3 G12s is just about autoable minus Stage 6 for 2 units death then back to auto. Its all about a tank solid enough to withstand the blastback of counters and enough exposes to crush a battalion of OP TM generating Imperial Scum

While the Zeta on Jyn inst needed, you do require better Tanking, I suggest Baze as when partnered with Chirrut he is a monster. I still use them in my Rebels under CLS one pain in the ____ pair they are when geared/modded beautifully
  • Cool. Thanks for the good feedback. My mods are pretty good, not arena quality, but I'll look to see where I can maximize. I may just invest in that Jyn zeta. R1 is still viable in TW and TB so it's not a completely useless zeta, and may be the quickest fix. I fully get that Baze is the preferred tank on this team, but I have way too many priorities to sink my time into leveling him up.
  • Jyn's leadership zeta actually seems pretty useful now that grand arena is around. For 3v3 in particular, Jyn leading Chaze is pretty formidable, and would require the opponent to spend a more meaningful team than those characters would normally warrant to get past them.
