That sounds good. Being sub-500 is really good for level 58. Just keep focusing on whatever team you're farming and you'll be fine. But be warned - top 50 really isn't possible unless you spend money. Fleet arena is a different story, though. Focusing on ships is so helpful, since you can get top 50 easily, and if you're in a good guild doing Geo TB sometime, you can get Malevolence/Negotiator, which will let you get top 5 or 10, or even #1.

I would thoroughly disagree with that. It just takes one competitive meta team to get in to top 50, which can be done as f2p. If once you get to that point you find your shard chat, it's easier. But I'd agree a good route is to try and do well in ships, as that will get you the crystal income to help with your arena team.
My bad @crzydroid - I meant it’s not going to happen right now where he’s at, level 58. At this point it’s going to be hard to compete with the hyperdrive users. But later in the game, after level 85, definitely doable. Should have clarified that, sorry.
Oh yeah, absolutely not. If you want to fast track, you're looking at hyperdrive.
But if you're in this for the long game, know what you're doing and are dedicated and in a good guild, it's possible f2p. It just may take months to 1 year+.
