Imperial Troopers vs hoarding for the next GL

Question

Hey guys, I think my question could be relevant for some other players as well.
With the upcoming GCs next month I‘m wondering, if I should invest in my Troopers. I saw in several videos, that they are becoming more and more relevant and are fun to use. Currently all my troopers are Gear 11/12 but I have enough currency to gear up four of them to R5-7 straight away.
On the other hand I‘m hoarding my gear for a couple months now because I would like to go for one of the next GL . Currently I have two GLs ( Rey and Luke).
So my question to you guys is, should I invest in imperial troopers right now or should I wait (maybe 2 or 3 months) until the next batch of GLs comes out?

The requirements for SEE include 3 troopers at relic level (Veers, Starck and Piett). 2 birds with one stone. If you take these to g13 and 2 more to g12 you can try your team out before you decide whether to go all-in with a full reliced Trooper team.

I just got to the IMPS thanks to SEE and they are the last DS faction I have to build before moving on to the neglected LS step children.  Still working on the 5th toon for them but so far I'm totally tickled pink seeing them in action. G dang they are one heck of a powerhouse on offense.

Thanks guys! I feel very confident now that I should go for them. And hoarding all the time isn’t very fun to do :)Which lineup would you prefer next to stark, veers and Piet? Death and snow ?

I'm not a trooper guy, but based of what I read elsewhere on the forum, Gideon and Range would be the best addition to your trio.
