Yes and no. You can be more focused on relevant characters and end game content and should be able to have better crystal in flow.

However, it's going to be a while before you're competitive on the the existing account, but if you join a good guild you should be able to jump on the next meta as Revans reign is coming to an end. 501st clones and rumor is General Anakin.

My advice start an alt, play it for a week or two along with your main account. Then decide which one is best for you.

Yeah I was thinking about focusing 501st on this account, only problem is I’ve spent money on this account back in the day so would feel like a waste if that makes sense, how do I make another account? Do I need another device?

Sunk cost fallacy, but if it were me, I'd probably use the existing and understand I'm probably just going to have to be patient for a while to be successful in arena.

What the next meta will be is pure speculation, and trying to get ahead of it is more the realm of established players who don't have other things they could be working on. The known quantities will serve you well, even if there's a possibility of something else on the horizon.

Taking a bet on the next meta is a gamble. If you go the 501st route, do it because you like the 501st. Not because you think it will get you the next big thing.

@hello1234 I'd say keep working on your current account. No need to create a new one since you already have some decent and important toons. The only thing that you'll be struggling with is arena (as people previously mentioned). It is possible to catch up if you either invest a lot of money, or manage to get lucky at predicting the next meta and preparing beforehand. But if you're not too worried abour arena, then just keep playing your current account, everything will be fine. I don't know your shard, but I assume it's fairly easy to catch up to the top 200 even after a 1 year break if you know what you're doing. And from there you could work your way upwards. Best of luck!

My personal prediction is that Galactic Republic is going to be meta and dethrone Malak once and for all. But that is merely my own speculation, so not worth much. I think you should go for a JKR team first, from an efficiency standpoint. The event is easy, and you'll have a very, very strong allrounder team. Good for raids, good for arena, good for tw and ga, and tb as well. And the mod requirements aren't as strict as with some other teams like DR for example. In my opinion at least. With a Jedi Revan team you'll have a team for everything that's also very easy to use and mod. After that you could go for a Padme team or something, depending on how the meta shifts.

Let me add, look at who is in the top of your fleet arena shard. Emulate them, work your ships, get Bossk and your bounty hunters up to speed so you can participate in the almost non existent credit heist. fleet arena is usually easier to climb than squad and is worth doing for the crystal income.
