Is it possible to cheat on Defence in Championships?

Ever since seeing the kerfuffle some months ago about cheating and people being banned, I'm afraid my suspicious nature has got my looking suspiciously at every odd result or happening in PvP in game....

Still 30+ speed, and tm gains from critting, did they crit more than you?
