Is it worth applying a Zeta just for crew power?

I think I heard about people doing it with Thrawn when he came out due to the annihilate he had, but not sure I've heard anything of it aside from then I don't think though, certainly I'm not sure I would until it was absolutely necessary. I guess it depends what your other zeta options are, but I reckon there's usually a higher priority.
