Is Poe the best tank?

IMO Poe brings more to the fight than RG or Han.

RG at 4* has better health than 6* Poe! He's almost a guaranteed stun. And is the only toon that can keep Rey alive past the 1st round. Poe is almost useless in comparison.

Poe for droids. Han for Rebels/turn meter teams. RG for anything else.

Ur not wrong I suppose, especially vs a speed team. Honestly though in the current meta I really don't the point of using any tank. It will be interesting to see the changes in the coming update.

I wouldn't say required. I ran a speed team for a month or so using QGJ(L) with GS, Yoda, Lumi and Dooku. I could easily take #1 and generally not fall below #20ish. I have noticed in the past couple weeks though I was starting to slip further down (I assume due to others hitting lvl70) so I switched it up to an evasion based team with Dooku(L). Either way in the current meta I see any tank as a free offense up.

With all the teams running QGJ, a taunt has lost a lot of its value. But if you're going to use one in this meta, Poe works well because his value comes not in taking the hits while taunting, but the extreme turn meter manipulation and expose debuffs he brings the moment he taunts.

RG is currently the best tank. His stun is wonderful.

I think I'd take RG over Poe for Droids too. RG's stun is much more effective if called on by GS or 86 for an assist. Poe's basic attack, even if you get an offense down, is much less effective.

Poe only works well against slower teams and unfortunately his overall value is RNG based now as if his expose doesn't take on 2+ toons and his turn meter reduction fails he adds little or nothing.
