Is ship arena broke?

That image is misleading because he has a biggs that the image is cutting off at g11. Unless you can use arena rank and show a screenshot of his lineup compared to yours its hard to tell or how developed your shard is.

I always take out squads with much higher GP but I don't use my best ships up front. I call them in as reserves.

Ships are not broken. People are trying to use the old meta because thats what ships they haf that were good. If you put effort into the new teams that gave synergy you would be fine.

Sorry, you posted your comment a minute before I did mine, so I didn’t see yours yet and just assumed that image was your arena team.

For the OP: ships 2.0 created an huge RNG mess. I’m not surprised that a much weaker team was able to climb into top 5. They just had luck on their side.

I'm not trying to argue here. I'm just trying to figure it out so sorry if you felt that way. But zetas and omegas do increase your speed of ships so that's a huge "boost". You're right in regards to the amount, but in ships speed is a major factor correct? For example, Vader at g12(0 extra pcs) lv85 with all mods 5*lv15, 7* ship and all abilities at 7(no omega or zeta) has a ship speed of 171. Throw omegas and 0 zetas and it's bumped up to 173. Throw the last two zetas on and it's 174. Again, not much but a factor. That's just zetas. Every piece of gear, level, ability, stars increases your ship. See for yourself the difference it makes.

As already mentioned in my previous post, 50k GP difference could just be an additional (mostly useless) reinforcement slot even though in your example both ships have 6*. Anyway, you are showing a 20k GP difference from Scimitar, so what? He's not in there to deal or soak up dmg, gearing Maul just for his ship power is a waste! Another 20k from KRU? Well, his stun is definitely more important to control battles than his dmg output. 6k difference from Vader's ship? Just look at the dmg numbers of both ships, the difference will be hardly notable against the huge variation from normal vs. critical hits. Yes, your vader is faster but on offense he can probably still stun him with his KRU.

Gearing Maul just for his ship power is a waste.... OK, I'll take that waste.

He's got 6* ships - he's on a middle-aged shard. Neither the ship lineup nor the arena lineup would work on "old" or launch shards.

Wrong....... Problem is people are afraid to do their own theory crafting and just follow the heard like a bunch of cattle.

Haven't noticed that at all. Do you have any specific examples of teams in your top arena? Screenshots or swgoh.gg accounts would be helpful to see what you are speaking of
