Same is for Gaunlet, although a little bit easier, since sometimes shards pop up for sale.
5 Sims a Day @ 33% = 1.67 Shards per Day = 50 Shard/Month or 198 Days = 6.5-7 Months
Its the same math its always been.
If you had a Marque 50 shards its still nearly 6 months, if not, then plan on being a LONG farm.
Going 0/20 Sims will be VERY rare but still not impossible at 3 in 10,000 if my decimals are right.

Other times you get more than 3 shards. That's how randomness works.

Players that track the data show a 33% drop rate, you can collect your data too and see where you end up. You will probably feel like its lower than it actually is.
This but also take note of how statistics work. 33% doesn't mean 1 shard per 3 attempts. It means over time the average for "most" players will be a 33% drop rate. Standard bell curve, large sample sizes.
In my personal experiences, simming 2-4 at a time yields "better" results.- Schwartzring5 years agoSeasoned AceI used to do 6 at a time in Cantina, not because I felt there was some better odds, just so that I could track my results fairly quickly always looking for 2 each run to see if I was "on target".

No think of all that Energy that could have been used elsewhere ? - everyone knows 3-5 is the best amount of sims. that's just math!

First part correct, minor edit, that it's not most players, all players approach 33% as they add more samples to their set.
Second part, incorrect, this is an example of how not to think of statistics. There is no way to adjust/change/enhance small sample size results, and over all, statistically speaking, everyone approaches the same end result. You can't get "better results", as that would throw off the statistical outcome.- The drop rate issue has been covered well enough. So I'll leave just this advice to the OP. Unless you are a completionest or are speculating that reaper will be needed (not likely) for something important, there are better ships to farm first.

I still believe that CG has coded the RNG to play to the extremes. Maintain the average drop rate but set it to be "streaky". This induces emotional responses from us and gets us to want to roll the dice even more."Bulldog1205;c-2273339" wrote:
