Is Young Han Solo any good?

Quite good behind Qira from what I read

I've always liked his kit in theory but never taken the time to gear him seriously. While it's true he will eventually be super speedy, it takes time to build up and he keeps skipping turns to do it. I mean, it's nice he gives himself a protection buff and retribution while he's tossing his dice, but it sure would be nice if he were doing more to help the team in that move. I always feel like he should be attacking but instead he's just standing there playing with toys and it's a little annoying.
That whole Prepared squad was quite strong when it was new. You may get mileage out of it now too but you won't be using it to counter any of the newer teams. Young Lando has not been very impressive from what I have seen (but he does have a ship), better off with T3 in your squad.

I guess you could say, he is a pretty "Yolo" character

Okay, but in the long run he is actually helping the team more. Everytime he uses Upper Hand he gains +50 speed. That means every time turn comes that much faster. If you can get him to 400+ speed, think of how much that would help your squad. A 400 speed character would outrun every other character in the game, resulting in him dealing severe damage to the enemy team as he just takes turn after unstoppable turn.

2 turn cooldown so 8 turns to add 200 speed and all the while the enemy is nuking your squad in what is effectively a 5v4 battle. Good luck with that!

He did have a shining moment as the big damage dealer in a HAAT (manual) solo squad - but as others have said, in general he takes to long to ramp up for most PvP applications.

Possible return to usefulness in the next raid to come out? Time will tell, but the potential is there...

@jawa7778 Amazing when used properly. This is from HAAT starting in Phase 2.

Can be useful in GAC and TW as well, and even arena if you have a scoundrel-based, Qi'ra-led team. I swap him in sometimes depending on the enemy team.

But yes, the meta teams are hard in arena, although clones have been quite easy for me thus far.

As @mellamoroberto pointed out, the Qi'ra Solo smuggler team is neat (I have all at G12/zeta), but pretty terrible in PvP. It's kinda like BH but slightly worse.

Some usefulness in HAAT, but CLS/Han/Chewie can solo HAAT much easier than using Qi'ra or Young Han. Unless they go back and release a Woody Harrelson, Solo toons are pretty much obsolete.

Super easy gear. Only one stun gun & he doesn’t take energy to farm. Works great with the vandor Team

If you have the zeta, gear, and mods, then yes he's a good character. A luxury character for most people, but a good one.
