Jedi still viable with the rebel pass?

I run Jedi in arena and do decently. Top 250+ and will jump more after my next zeta. I love using them; they're so fun and can be very powerful. Another thing to think about: Jedi are due for a faction pass. They have gone untouched throughout the rise of nihilus and are still able to compete, but many of their kits are old and outdated and just bad in general. Mace desperately needs a rework, possibly making him anti-sith as a response to so many anti-Jedi sith. I think the devs recognize how rebel-heavy the game is atm, and I think they'll start to focus on other groups now.

Jedi are absolutely viable but only if you run
the right ones. QGJ, Anikin, Ezra, Yoda, Aayla plus a few others.

Most other Jedi are rubbish.

Run: zQGJ (L) JKA/Ezra R2 (zeta number crunch) Yoda and General Kenobi, and you will be fine, other than that, there are better investments

I run Jedi and tbh no they aren't.
The added speed the newer toons have alongisde the fact that most of them clear tenacity up and ignore foresight makes Jedi next to useless in arena now, if you can speed them up fast - my slowest is around 210 speed before qgj lead adds another 30 to it) then you can float around 20-50ish but that's as far as you will go.
Looking to change as soon as I can get the right team geared up and modded

My team qgj Zeta, anakin, yoda, GK, Aayla

zQGJ Jedi teams can be really good on offense, there are a few Jedi teams in the top 50 slot in my shard. Some with GK, some without. They need GK to really shine though, sadly.
I run a Wiggs-Chaze team and they're all G10, I can go after maxed G11 zQGJ teams and win mostly, at least for those few without GK in the top 30-80 so they don't do so good on defense without GK. The 2 Jedi players with GK are in top 20.

They really need a rework, it's long past due. I was training Jedi initially when I started the game. Jumped ship to Rebels to unlock Palps and stuck with them since. Jedi at G8 hit like wet noodles, while certain Rebels at G8 already hit very decently. Been working on my Jedi team now as my B team with my Sith, hoping they get a decent rework soon.

A kit fisto rework would be awesome as well I always thought he was so cool. @Mr_Sausage is completely right. Jedi I'd add to that list that I think are worth farming are ahsoka (great synergy with jka, deals the most overall damage on my team except maybe Anakin), Ima-gun di (very fun leader ability with all those counters), and maybe barriss (situational, but if you need a healer, she's the best). Also R2 for number crunch and GK because he's incredible. If you're a peasant like me, though, you don't have access to him yet. If you do, I envy you but I'm guessing if you had GK you wouldn't have created this thread.

That trailer is from 2016, so is no indication of an impending rework.

Word of advice for Jedi you need R2 with both Zeta abilities not just one or you will struggle. I'm currently using CLS because heck he is Luke but before him I was using Plo Koon instead of Anakin or Aayla because Plo has a great dispel and TM manipulation.

That's really interesting, I'm using kylo as my fifth until I can get R2 to 7*. Plo Koon was actually effective for you? I don't have him unlocked yet never thought he was a priority over other characters.
