JTR setup for arena squads? Speed importance

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of running JTR, bb8, r2d2, scavenger rey and amilyn hondo.

With mods this is the best I can do right now. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Especially the importance of speed and if this setup will do good against palp teams that don't have Traya yet.

Once I have everything ready and swapped to JTR setup above. if I were to run crit dmg x4 / 2 potency. I can get up to 98 speed. Another JTR in my arena has 105 speed.

My bb8 with my very best speed mods. I want sure if its important to get bb8 the highest over everyone but if I were to use my best x4 speed mods with these 2 health mods that are high up. I can get 130+ speed from it and the other bb8 in my tier has 116 speed

R2d2. Speed mods / crit chance. I think up to like +105 speed. The other r2d2 is at 98

Scavenger rey with crit dmg / crit chance i can only get up to about +92.

Amilyn hondo will use up my other health mods/potency. I can about 90-98+ speed from them.

  • Traya is a different animal than the other sith for JTR. I didn’t try scav Rey, but have used Holdo and RT with JTR. Unfortunately, since sith cleanse themselves with Traya anywhere in the lineup, holdo’s daze gives you very little (almost no) advantage. Against the classic nightmare team it works, but since Traya is taking over, JTR is generally fading away...

There is one article that calculated the threshold speed in which that first Cover Data Transfer would give JTR 100%TM. I think 260 speed is what you should target for JTR.

    good stuff.

The 260 speed in that article was an example that was pulled out of the air for BB-8, and using that example, found you would also need a 260 Rey for her to get 100% immediately from BB-8. That is obviously a very specific scenario. And that "threshold" can change based on not only whether the CDT hits another Resistance member, but also on how many droids you have. I think the general takeway is you want BB-8 and Rey as fast as possible.
  • I guess my only consolation from my new JTR squad are the rewards I would get in HAAT and HSTR.

    I see...
I would say that the goal is:
    1. Get BB8 to do CDT before anybody else in the battlefield (faster than everyone else).
    2. Get JTR fast enough so that she is rolling at the first CDT.

It depends on your shard. I'm in an April 2017 shard, there's a couple of Traya so far, and none in my payout. So I can hit 1 or 2 if someone else has already knocked them out, which happens most days. Granted it's only going to get worse...

As of now I could hit top 5 with only her Leadership zeta, depending on where the 2 Krakkens are. I think I am in a February 2018 shard. Filled with Nightmare, 1 BH, 1 Rex, 2 JTR (including me). But yeah, I should expect it to get worse later. For now, I shall enjoy this fun trio while I can. I guess the remaining zetas should still be worthwhile.
