It is definitely a thing on my server (December) and all my guildies use it (we're mostly on the same server). It does indeed feel cheap because we're back to square 1 with the speed meta, which is why protection was originally introduced.
The strategy is definitely a problem when even the players winning hate using it. A basic rule for this game should be that no one move can take out a character in the opening round.
I think it's time for protection 2.0. Seriously. Longer battles and more strategy, please. Even if your team has significantly better speed, the opposing team should have an opportunity to respond.
This game was far more enjoyable prior to the Wiggs OHKO. Now it's all that matters. Power creep has once again rendered health and protection inadequate. It has to be fixed.
@CG_Conduit23 please address the Wiggs OHKO situation with more protection, health or both.
