In this scenario - if Mace is getting ANY turns - you're doing it wrong. Your resistance should be going non-stop and - if you don't have 5 resistance characters - the other characters shouldn't be going. If they do - it means you aren't landing expose which means RNg has dealt you a bad hand and you've failed on this run (and need to restart).
I think a better solution would be someone who could provide some support in that event (like a healer or something) because if they get a turn, it means you're about to take some significant damage from the tank.
