This may be a dumb question, but why aren't mod challenges part of the daily challenge rotation? Since mod challenges are based on cantina energy, which can be refreshed, you can spam it massivel...

Many long time players already have all the cantina characters. If you play long enough (or spend a bit) you'll get there. Then what would you do with cantina energy. And limiting it to a fixed number of challenges would be horrible. You need to farm thousands and thousands to get a few decent ones. The current system is ok now that they drop at 100%. You just have to split you time between mods, and characters until you have been at it a couple years.
