- Da_Bauers7 years agoSeasoned AceIf it's a (4) or (5) speed it'll be worth it. It's only going up +1 regardless of what it starts at. If you were lucky with a (3) hit on speed you could have +15 or more speed already. Depending on the other secondaries those can be worth of too.
Of course there are other mods equally worth going to 6E. Something with, say, +150 offense or more. - Gannon0097 years agoSeasoned Ace
I typically 6* the upgraded perks that will benefit most first, like offense and crit damage. - USAFmedic1297 years agoSeasoned AceThe recommend use for 6E is 20+ mods only. But that means you’d have 6E mats laying around for years never being used with how Abysmal the speed increase chances appear. I go as low as 15+ speed but also look for what other secondary the character has that can benefit. For instance a tank with Prot primary and a second prot and health. Or speed + offense and not the % ones, but the raw number such as +800 prot/health/off etc
- Since 6-dot mods can only be used by g12 toons, you want to be pretty confident that the character will be using that mod for a long time and if you do eventually swap it out, that the mod will be good for another g12 toon.
- Always keep in mind, you will need "event mods" which are some decent speed mods that you can throw on a toon for an event that is not g12.
- Vaderizer7 years agoSeasoned AceWorth pointing out that one of the Offense secondaries - I think it's the flat amount, not the percentage, but don't quote me - gains a huge boost from slicing to 6E.

The % is what gets the boost and can be better than a flat increase IF the character is a Special damage user and if it has high base (around 4k if I recall well)- And....toons like Mace or Akbar who have capital ships, benefit greatly from 6 dot mods. Sometimes that extra speed makes all the difference in a fleet battle.
- Mephisto_style7 years agoSeasoned AceIf a mod has everything I want I take it all the way. Depending on the toon it would be intended for:
+ speed as long as above 15
+ offense
+ health
+ crit chance or potency
I don't wait for perfect. If all the stats make sense on that toon and it is nice then I lock it in - Vaderizer7 years agoSeasoned Ace

Above 15? Your standards are much higher than mine. I consider anything over 10 a keeper.
