Mods mods mods!

Do I just need speed mods or do I need a mix of all of them ?

Just wondering if I just need to worry about getting a resistance team together or do I need the Jawas, Jedis, First Order, etc.

I'm only lvl 63 so sorry I don't really understand this fully yet, all I saw is that apparently I might need a 7starred team of all kind to have all the mods and wondering if there's an easier way :hushed:

EDIT: This is my character sorry https://swgoh.gg/u/adapting/

Thanks!

    I highly recommend speed mods.
I did them before crit damage and dont regret it one bit.

Crit damage mods take so much longer to farm good ones with great speed secondaries, and in the meantime, being faster is a huge advantage over slow crit damage mods.

That’s interesting....I’m having the exact opposite experience.
Maybe that means my RNG with speed mods will change soon... :D

You seem to be missing the point of what I'm advising as the first mod set to farm.

As for gk bariss, that is a very unique team that is irrelevant to the OP question.

It still depends on what team the OP is trying to build. GK/zariss was one example.

Is the OP building droid team? Crit chance will give out far more TM (with a HK-47) lead than extra speed will. Is that going to include a java engineer? Speed set on the engineer, crit chance/damage on the droids - but personally I'd prioritize the crit chance set over the other two for a droid team.

You talk about R2 needing to go first for smoke screen, and I agree, but the OP doesn't even own R2, so...

Given the OP's profile, it looks like they are running a NS team in arena. If that is the team they plan to continue running, then they should be looking to unlock the mods that are best used for a NS team - whatever that is (I haven't built an NS team, so I'd have to go look up what mods really work best for them).

I don't have a problem with speed sets, several of my characters (like r2) have speed sets. But it really really does depend on the team you are trying to build.

It isnt that speed sets have any higher chance of rolling speed secondaries. Its the fact that you get 10% of your base speed added.

    @Fanatic
I repeat, my advice was that getting speed set unlocked after health (before crit damage) was not a bad idea, and will greatly improve a team overall since support need speed anyway and the boost in speed to dps characters is quite helpful. And this is regardless of current or future team composition.
  • I did not read everyone's suggestions here so I would like to apologize if i missed something...

OP, here's my mod advice. Being picky about mods is an end-gamer's concern and nothing you'll want to be concerned with right now. With that said, having a plan for modding IS important. If you can farm 5* health mods, then keep farming them unless you can farm other 5* mod types.

Right now, I wouldn't even think about upgrading a mod without speed secondary, but I have over 300 mods with speed seconds so I should be picky... https://swgoh.gg/u/speedokillz/mods/?stat2_5=1

Here is the order of preference and my advice. #1 Priority is 5* mods only. Health mods are usually the first a player can get to 5* so don't wast any time farming lower ones because the stat bonuses on the 5* are going to be a better investment that a 4* of another type. The second priority is the Primary stat: Potency Crosses, Crit Damage/Chance Triangle, Speed Arrows, and Protection Circles/Crosses are what you want to look for as premium primary stats.

Finally.. speed secondaries. If you wait around for a Crit Damage Triangle or a Tenacity Cross that has a speed secondary... grab a snickers, buddy cuz it could be a while. When you run into that premium mod, you can replace it on your arena team and move the relatively crappy mod to a pilot or something.

Oh... and I always level a mod to 15. Some will say to only go to 12 to see what you're working with and they may be right. To me, I've made enough of an investment already that I'll put the mod on someone eventually...

Good luck and hope that was helpful.
