Are ewoks useful in GA / TW? Because I want to invest in them for 3PO but I also have some other characters to upgrade.

I don't use them much outside of TW.
If you want c3p0 gear them up. If not and you don't care about c3, don't waste resources IMO.
You need to really get the right wok team though to get a turn meter train going.
