Also, if you have a small guild, you need to merge with another guild. The game is exponentially more fun with more players and a full, active guild- where you can compete in higher level activities.
Meh, Zader is still good for players without top tier toons. I rock a zader arena team and stay in top 100. And he helped me get the best raid rewards possible for a while. Now i almost have a full auto raid team with zader. But you're not wrong that he's not as useful anymore.
