Need Advice: Imperial Squad for GAC

Greetings,
as I am recognizing that my Imperial Squad in GAC gets defeated very easily I am trying to improve them.

My current Squad: zzPalp., zVader, zThrawn, Tarkin and TFP.

I am considering to gear my Royal Guard or stormtrooper as tank.

As I have read multiple posts (from 2017/2018) most people are advising to use the ST and then the Shore Trooper asap. My Shore Trooper is at 4* and I have no interest in farming him as there are a lot more useful characters to farm first,

I am thankful for any advice.

    Low star Nihilus and Sion do perform far better than either RG or ST.

    Mod them well, fast, and level 85 4* will help the team greatly. A 3 star BSF is even more helpful than the 4* Nihilus. You'd need sion there for the taunt though.

    That sounds like a good plan. Sion needs 11 more Splits for the 4th Star and then I can take care of much more important characters.

    Yep, first slot is the leader. Just a rough outline of what I would do.
