Need for a "deep" roster for raids?

Was wondering if having a ton of 5/6 star toons would be more beneficial than having more 7 star toons. I'm guessing my guild will be doing tier V raid until the majority of the guild hits lvl 80 so having more 5 star characters would allow for more attempts/damage on rancor. That being said is it worth it to not progress your top toons as fast in order to pump resources into B/C team toons for more battles during raids.

    i would focus on your top tier toons anyway and once they are maxed start on your backup team

    Focus on your 7. My guild has been raiding heroic. Everybody in your guild really only needs around 2 max squads to complete it easily

    Depends on how many of your toons can escape each time. I have 10, 7* star toons, but I used Yoda, QGJ, and Vader 3 times each. I got lucky with the rancor eating toons like Koth.

    P.S. I'm not a cheater, Vader is only 5*. Yoda and QGJ are 7*.
