I'm with @Darth_Jay77 . It takes incredibly long to acquire enough to really be able to experiment.
The first order squad is a great example. They "might" be viable with all 4 team members zeta'd but who in the world knows that. I've seen one video from a youtuber with that fancy beta tablet that took them for a spin in arena. Beyond that, spending several months just to "try it out" and find out it was a waste of time sucks lol. Just getting one zeta, or two for that team isn't going to get you anywhere fast.
On top of that I wanna see what yoda's zeta would bring to my team. I want to see how often Boba or Kylo's zeta actually is of use in a fight, Assaj's sounds cool, as does Dooku's. Bariss works for other teams, maybe she'll be fun in mine. Just these alone will have me farming until August ;) . And NONE of them may prove useful or relevant to anything I am doing - and I won't know until I get them and do some fights with them with my own team compositions (5 months from now).
All the while....more and more are being added lol. I feel like the majority of the zeta abilities being developed will never actually be used by anyone. The design team spent time on thinking them up and engineering programming them, but any zeta ability that isn't A++ quality is never going to be purchased. No one can afford to waste several months on some random "oh this might be fun - oh I was wrong" adventure. And with new ones constantly coming (which is awesome, i want all the zetas, all of them) I think it's safe to say most of the ones released in the last few months, I'll never own. If I could gather 20 zetas in a week's time it'd still take me the next 6 months to be able to try most of the ones available just right now.
