Newer toons that have become irrelevant now
As a free to play gamer of 3+ years I've made plenty of mistakes in throwing valuable resources into developing toons only to find out they are absolute garbage no matter how much work goes into them ...

If every toon was relevant to the current meta after 3 years, this game likely wouldn’t have made it to 3 years. It’s nice that characters like Thrawn and GK have seemingly always had a use, but if there is no reason to develop new characters, no one will.
Also if it took you this long to be able to 3* Nest’s fleet node, you probably shouldn’t expect to be competitive.
