...I noticed on the night the ship updates happened, and then again today. When I normally apply training droids I don't auto apply so that I am applying what I need. So I leave it 1 short of ea...

Yes you can. If you are auto updating it is entirely possible that large droids are going to waste. If your not auto adding it takes much longer going back in and out to figure out how many is enough without overspending.
