Offense vs Crit Damage

It's situational. Critical damage will pretty much give you the highest damage output possible, but the toons in question have to be able to reliably land critical hits. For this reason a CD based team will also be a poor choice for a defensive team, as CD based teams are often easy to counter with for example JKR and others. So for a hard hitting defense team, or a damage dealer in a defense team, it's best to stack pure offense, although a CD triangle is still a good choice. It's all different depending on the situation and the kits in question, but as a rule of thumb, if you can reliably land critical hits, then stacking critical damage will always be better.
