The obvious one is the Palp AoE stun (and no, it doesn't really matter when in the battle it happens - so even if you're the faster, better modded team, it's irrelevant). Typically, whoever stuns more of the enemy wins. Since everyone's tenacity is cranked, it comes down to the 15%.
Secondly, the RNG in determining who goes first and in what order when several toons on each side have 100% TM can greatly swing the battle. If DN goes first, everyone's specials are on cool down. Easy win.
Honestly, as someone who runs a top-end Palp lead team, I target NS and JTRey teams before other Palp teams for that reason. The others are almost a guaranteed win - the RNG vs. another Palp team, not so much.
Replace GK by Raid Han, stun enemy Vader with shoot first - you won.
