Maybe I'm in a weaker shard as I'm newer to the game than most, but I just encountered someone with a 74k NS squad that beat my Zalp,Zader,Thrawn,Zoba,Zarkin squad of 104k using a very weak acolyte strategy.Basically, this acolyte was level 1 and the team used her constant deaths in AoEs to juice up Daka and Ventress and ultimately win. Interesting and smart strategy.I remember when Paper zombie was nerfed, the devs stated that Paper zombie violated one cardinal rule of the game that progressing in the game should not make you weaker. Doesn't paper acolyte do the same thing then as paper zombie, albeit in a different way? Someone with all strong NS can't employ this strategy, for instance.Anyways, at the risk of bringing on NS runners that are gonna hate all day and call me a sore loser, I just wanna see what the board thinks. I also want to see if I'm the first to encounter this or if it is common knowledge in other shards.

There's no reliable strategy in it. Acolyte almost immediately dies twice, cancelling Zombie's unique. At that point just stick shock on Zombie and kill them in Daka, AV, MT, Zombie order. Acolyte dying barely a few times doesn't boost AV's damage or Daka's health nearly that much.

I use that strategy all the time in raids, with my level 1 Spirit and Initiate.

How do you remember when paper zombie was nerfed and still in trouble with some cheesy NS?

If some fool wants to try that, let em. A trash-tier toon just makes the team that much easier to frag. >:)

Paper zombie was in raids where she'd taunt and die over and over until ventress was off the chart. Gearing up zombie kept her alive longer and ruined the mechanic, ergo keep her lvl1.Having another sister die easily really ruins the squad in PvP etc

Paper acolyte strategy for NS -- will this get nerfed like Paper zombie?

Daka was pretty strong and fast, so she would revive them quickly. The strategy seemed to be to load up MT, AV, and OD with speed and gear to make them fast for revival of the weak acolyte.

Fair enough. this is a younger shard, so I don't have my troopers quite ready yet.

I just started playing a little less than a year ago.

That zombie death/revive mechanic is awesome when you're using zVeers Troopers. Team-wide 100% TM guaranteed.

Yes. And for newer players the hard farms like DT and ShT aren't absolutely necessary. Snow is MVP, and Magma is very good (both easy early on). Zetas on veers and starck are highly recommended though.
