In the long ago, we posted no update posts (people hated them for the same reasons as today) and only system posts and did not engage in any direct way. Infact the very quote you replied to was about the team hearing people. I think its important to keep moving to more engagement, not less
When there is nothing offical to release; Kozi and others use humor and other ways to engage players, as opposed to the silence people have not liked... but also dont mistake humor and images as insults but rather we heard or saw what is being discussed. Sometimes communication is not direct 1 to 1 but rather acknowledged remarks and also knowing that when its ready to go Kozispoon is always eager to let the entire community know.
I think people would just like some sort of straightforward post that helps clarify the kind of weird silence that followed in the wake of the EA Play video. It was really strange, and the silence since has been even stranger.
I think we get that its easy to get bogged down in the swamp of a pre-release rush. But even if it was indirect, hearing something is better than hearing nothing. In the last month there's been a lot of things that have generated distaste amongst the players and I'd certainly like to know where CG falls on how these things went.
