Haven't played for probably about 2 years. Any characters I should prioritise? Have wedge, Biggs, STHan, Lando and qui gonn all maxed as my primary team... With Leia, ackbar, cad bane, Yoda and a coup...

The characters you mentioned above(with the exception of Yoda) haven't been viable for a long time.
If we are to sort different characters in groups and we say that the very best meta characters are 'A' and the worst characters, that 0.000001% of the players use are 'G', then your roster currently contains 'E' or 'F' characters. Your arena shard would be from the time you reached the level needed for arena. So the players from back then, who never stopped playing will be at the top with ~80 more top-notch characters.
When you say "High Level" I suppose you mean lvl 85 g10 or so. This has been irrelevant for years now.
Nowadays you have g13(which is super hard to get) and on top of g13 you have relics(which boost your stats like crazy), so you will never make it into top 10(which is where crystals come from). If you want to play you should probably start over so your arena is freshly new, like you.
