Returning player seeking advice

I played swgoh a lot up until about 9 months (around when Bastilla came out) and I've found myself playing again. Quite a lot has appeared to change and I'm not entirely sure on my farming priorities. I'm not too bothered about arena/being PvP competitive so I'm not prepared to start out on a new shard and lose all my progress.

My current process is to finish sion and nihilus (I have all the gear ready for them to be G12, I just need the shards) and to obtain + gear sith trooper to replace Vader, but past that I don't really have a plan. I'm unsure as to whether I should prioritise gear for a CLS rebel/titan team or Jedi, I'm planning on farming shards for Bastilla and Jolee Bindo and maybe working my way to Jedi Knight Revan.

Also how useful is JTR at the moment as I've just got her? is it worth focusing on making a JTR team instead? or is she only useful in the sith raid right now?

    If you want to shore up that Sithpire squad, take a look at nasty Basty (fallen Bastilia). Maybe not top tier arena but solid second tier.

    CLS, Han, Chewie, R2, 3PO can be top tier, though you'll get targeted by all the RevanClones tired of mirror matches. Farming for Chewie helps set you up for Falcon too but the the whole endeavor takes a lot of time and effort.

    GA is a bit like TW.
    * simpler maps - 2 or 4 zone
    * both squad-only and squad + fleet variants
    * squads will be either 5v5 or 3v3 depending on variant
    * battles are 1 player vs 1 player
    * 8 players in a bracket, matched on GP
    * you fight 3 of 7 potential opponents
    * victory is simply win:loss ratio, ignore the numeric rankings

    JTR is still great in TW, GA, hSTR p1 and hAAT. Not that good in arena anymore, though.
    CLS rebels is still good in arena and TW/GA if you have Chewie and 3P0. Chewie and 3P0 were added after you went on a break. Require a BH team (Dengar pretty much required for 6* and 7*) and ewok (Logray, Wicket and Paploo pretty much required for 7*).
    Jedi are great - if you have JKR. Otherwise they are just OK. The GK, JKA, Ahsoka reworks are worth looking into. Jolee is very strong.

    GA is like a single-player TW.

    Currently, JKR is probably the most versatile squad (also does a little more damage in HSTR than JTR). I’d invest in them, if you’re just looking for good teams.

    You probably want to focus on getting Jedi Knight Revan. He's not the king of arena anymore now that Darth Revan and Darth Malak have arrived, but that squad can plow through pretty much anything and is a tremendous asset for Grand Arena.

    RE: JTR, she's still great and well worth investing gear in. Putting gear you get from raids and shops into JTR while you farm shards for the squad that unlocks Jedi Revan (Bastila Shan, Jolee Bindo, T3-M4, Mission Vao, and Zaalbar) would probably be a good plan.

    What does the rest of your guild say?
    I use bastilla and jolee combo a lot, both with zeta. Working on Revan. I don't have JTR but next time...
