Returning player seeking advise

Hey everyone! My name is SubjectZero. I played a lot when the game just came out. I played quite a lot back in the days getting number 1 in arena several times as FTP player before I quited (which was just after the level cap upgrade to lvl 80 to beleive). That was quite awhile ago, and a lot of things have changed since then.

I got a few questions for you guys and I hope you guys are willing to help me out:

1. what free to play charachters shouldI on now, and which are better to neglect from now on? Can you guys give me a list of which character I should work on first?

2. There are a lot of now things. Like ships, events and guilds and stuff. What is important to know and what should be ignored?

3. I got a list of decently powerfull upgraded troops. They are all about lvl 74, purple gear 7 star. Which of the following should I upgrade further and which to ignore? list below:
-Fives
-Kylo Ren
-Genosian Soldier
-Dount Dooku
-Darth Sidious
-Luminara
-Poggle the lesser
-Phasma
-IG-86
-HK 47
-Qui Gon Jin
-Jedi Counsler
-Magma Trooper

4. WHich charachters are worth buying from the multiple currency stores?

    Dont really have the goal to become number 1 or something sinc i wana spend far less time on the game then i used to. Just wana know where to focus on the coming time :)

    A good thing for you to do would be to visit swgoh.gg and check out the meta report, and top toons used, that would be a good starting point. As for your listed characters, all but GS, Luminara, and Poggle can be useful in some area of the game, more or less. I guess GS could be as well for ships, but that would be a personal call. F2P is not what it once was, even some toons that are considered "F2P" are ridiculous to try and farm, Baze, FOTP, FOST, etc. Its a long road, especially trying to overcome so much that has happened.     Do not do this.

    1. Get some Rebels for Commander Luke. You are going to need at 7*, Old Ben, Stormtrooper Han, Leia, Farmboy Luke, and R2D2 (You can get him with 5 7* Empire characters. So farm them as well.

    2. Find a guild that can at least clear the Heroic Pit. The benefits are very good. Gear, characters, etc, you can buy with guild credits. Farm 5 dark side ships to 5 star, and Executrix to 5 star to get your Zeta materials.

    3. All those guys/gals you have are decent except maybe Poggle. Some have ships, some have leadership abilities. I use Kylo and Qui Gon Jinn daily.

    thanks! Will check out SWGOH.gg for some in depth info. I do realise F2P is hard to work up from and that im not by far as strong as i used to, just want to casually improve myself :)

    Very usefull reply, thanks! Will start working on those rebels chars for now first. One question, how do you get commander luke? :) will also join a guild and start doing the events there!

    If you're looking for a guild, we'd be glad to have you. We run hrancor and plan to start running hAAT weekly in about a month. Our only requirements are that you're active (preferably 600 raid tickets a day), join our discord channel, and follow raid rules.

    Hey randymarch. That sounds cool! I do not know yet how raids work, but if you explain id be glad to join. whats the guild name? Ad are raids at specific times?

    atm im trying to get rebels from stores and work on empire units to get R2 in the future. Can anybody help me with ideas for the empire team? I saw a bit about trooper teams (Veers lead, Storm, DT, Snow, and Magma) is that any good?

    I'm currently working on troopers for raids and they are a really fun squad. DT is a bit out of reach for you at the moment though if you haven't unlocked his cantina stage yet, so I'd focus on getting palp and Vader first. We'd love to have you!     Palp requires rebels to unlock right? and vader is achievment only? got vader at 5 stars atm. What rebels should I focus on? Also will PM you my ally code in a sec!
