Sector 4 Lord Vader is Impossible

Mk7 Scanners come from arena currency and guild currency. Buying them for shard shop currency is an example of bad use of your resources.
The shard shop has a range of options that I boil down to: 420 currency for 5 salvage and 360 for 4 salvage are the only ones you should buy in there.
The g12rh gold stuff is 720 for 4, while the g12 purple and g12lh gold stuff is half that price. The g12 purple have close to the same drop rate for fleet energy as the g12rh stuff. So it's like they are half price for shard shop currency. Use your fleet energy to farm g12rh gold stuff and refresh that 3x for 50 crystals per day. It's better value than buying that gear for crystals. Then use your SSC to buy the g12 purples that you have less than 80 of. I also often buy the g12lh gold for 360, as normal energy is almost always for kyros. Carbs and a few others for 420. I seem to get about 1500 SSC per day, so it's a decent flow of gear.
Some players have a narrow definition of "farming" only meaning that you are able to get them from a node for energy. I consider any means where you get them from normal play over time to be farming. So any of the currency stores, apart from crystals, is farmable to me.
