SET or shore?

Shore. More durable than SET and can use in a few different line ups.

You can use SET with your DR team against faster DR teams.
Shoretrooper had (has?) some utility with the Vader counter to Sith Empire teams but it didn't need relics for that. It was only there for the pre-taunt.

I wouldn't waste relic mats on either of them but I'd recommend to gear up SET. It has more utility.

My SET is g12 and Shore is g11. I will use Malak and RG with SEE so thinking I need at least one other tank to go with my other darkside times

Side question how good is dark trooper?
I will get him to 7* but wondering how good is he/it especially now we need more teams for gac?
And which lineups does it fit in best?

Dark Trooper belongs to the IT team. If you use Gideon L, put him there. Otherwise under Veers. Mark with Piett, and he gets loads of assists in. Main damage of the squad. Along with Veers L, Gideon, Piett, and Shaak he can help beat some LV teams
