Shark Tea Needs Four of the New Gear Pieces - Enjoy!

My guess is they’re going to add additional ways to acquire them, but before they do they need to ensure there is a demand. Probably in either of the new shipments or in geo TB prize boxes.

That's fine and all but at least add them to raid drops. Farming hundreds of purple pieces off a Normal node is a LOT of shards I could be farming.

Technically your both right. Kyno yes they are farmable.

However... they require crystals to farm!!! the only way you can really get the gear is with crystals in the shop or spending refresh after refresh.

If your just doing the 5, 10 a day trying to farm them without crystals your getting 3 pieces with good rng. So to gear up 1 character like shark tea that's 2 months without spending crystals.

if every new character requires this new gear I'd imagine people will lose interest once they realize all the new characters are gated like this.

The real depression will set in when they realize everything they saved up for 4 years is now worthless and if they want anything new they have to spend crystals or wait several months...

With only 5 battles per day plus the fact every new character will need those pieces and that we also need energy to farm characters shards and it will likely take months to farm those gears even with 3 refreshes per day. So that is not really a viable option.

Unless those new gear pieces become available on this new store/ new arena mode I suspect this will turn to be a even worse bottleneck than stun cuffs, stun guns and carbantis.

Which they 100% are. They are farmable, just like almost all the other gear in game. Not sure what else you would want to call this.

They are available on a node that we can all get, i.e. - farmable. Nodes use energy which comes in free, i.e. - they are available without crystals....

Practically in a sense kind of unfarmable...not sure what the actual drop rate is but when you spend 400 energy and get 1/50th of a piece.... (yeah I get RNG) but if the model is set up that you "kinda' have to buy them because only an idiot would spend 20,000 energy to get HALF a piece crafted.... then yeah I gotta buy them cause spending that energy not happening... 20,000 energy would get me 60 gold salvage lol

(Above is worst case sceneraio unless the drop rate "really" is that bad... I actually did it today for the first time and that was my result...lucky me. (I have to believe it's not that bad...for sanity purposes.

And totally agree that they will be moved to a shop or a raid at some point.... would be kinda silly if every new toon needed them and it stayed the way it is now..

So in theory it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be...yet it's it's up there with the worst of the worst as far as getting gear goes....

I'm sure it will all work out.

I have a feeling it will be purchasable with Guild Event v2 tokens

My issue is that with g13 upon us, the last thing we really need at this point is another bottleneck at the lower gear levels. Requiring like 2 of these is acceptable to me, but at g11 and maybe g10. But to constantly create these gates at lower levels is rather depressing for the future of this game. I own Malak, Padme, and DRevan and was so relieved when I got done farming these pieces. But at least the reward for farming them is great. They're all great toons. But Shaak Ti, as cool as a kit as she has, pales in comparison to these other 3 and her needing 4 of these pieces is just a bit bonkers.

In practice, these pieces are not farmable for most people. If you don't have every character farmed for your GA/legendary event/tw/tb/arena teams, then you typically don't have the spare energy to go off and farm 400 gear pieces from nodes without neglecting farming key teams. And as it stands, you cannot just wait and farm them from stores like stun guns and carbantis. These pieces need to be in a store like the new tb or GA championship ones so people who don't score 1 in both arenas every day can hope to be able to farm and gear new characters when they go f2p.
