How do you increase a ships speed. Im tired of always being second to go in battle and loosing from it

@scuba: Yes...sort of. It also allows people to figure out what kinds of contributions will give them the best benefits...
And some contributions require more Credits than others, while Promotions require more time than others, etc. If you compare parts of the document, you can put your effort into the parts of your character that will help the most and the soonest. You don't get that from advice like "improve everything".
I guess my biggest negative reaction to the "improve everything" advice is that it treats the OP like an idiot. Of course improving Crew contribution improves the ship - otherwise there wouldn't be a crew contribution. While I have been known, on occasion, to treat someone on the internet like an idiot, it's always after they persist in acting like one over multiple comments. Asking one question shouldn't get that treatment.
