Shoretrooper Viability

7* GK isn’t a luxury I have right now. Just got into a guild running HAAT so it’ll be a minute before I get Kenobi.

Gonna give Sion a run first then work on gearing up Shore. Hopefully I’ll get a little better RNG on his node. Been shut out the past two days! Got 5 tie reaper shards once though!

What's the rest of ur team looks like? If u are using palp zeta lead team, vader, nihilus, thrawn + stormtrooper, better u replace storm with sion. He's doing well at *3

I’m running Palp(L), Vader, Thrawn, Tarkin, Storm. No zetas but have been considering saving one for Palp.

Shore is much better then storm , stars aren't critical, gear level is however, and mods, but shore is much better in there then storm

Shore is viable at 3* but at least for now 3* Sion would be better value to level up while you get more shore stars.

Shoretrooper has so many uses and makes many empire events easy. Keep after him, but for arena Sion is better right now.

So 3* Sion > 3* Shore > 7* Storm?

Even if I don’t use Nihilus would Sion be the best option and is Sion’s zeta required or just recommended?

Sions zeta is essential. Makes him uber.

Shore and storm together as a team work very well and you can use them until you get sion geared. Storm gives them both defense and shore give them both health. They are a good team. Shore has more total effective health than Sion. But the reason Sion is so good is because after he gets hatred he turns into a very effective attacker too. My 4* Sion can hit for 20-30k with his third ability. There is a guy in my top 10 that runs sion with full Crit damage set with crit damage triangle. I bet he hits hard.

I run a very undergeared EP vader thrawn sion shore and stay around 90-120 on late 2016 shard. My DN is only g8 but I will replace shore or thrawn with him once I get him up to G10. I think against CLS you need 2 tanks because of the counters and CLS buff wipe. Other teams Thrawn probably better.

Hey @Bgcarste , u are running similar team with mine: palp lead, vader, thrawn, tarkin, i use nihilus in place of storm. I don't use tank.. but it's just one of my team, i use many teams these days :grimace:

Sion n nihilus is the new annoying tag team duo, there is special synergy with them. Same like wedge biggs or baze chirrut. When nihilus get debuff, sion gain 10% TM. When sion get crit hit, nihilus gain 5% (or 10%?) max health (stacking). Cmiiw

Sion will work fine without nihilus, but could be better if u have nihilus :grimace:

I have 5* g8 Nihilus I just haven’t been focusing on gearing him.

It seems like Sion would be my best bet while I work on starring up Shoretrooper. I’m guessing it’ll be a while til Sion becomes farmable and Shoretroopers farm already sucks as it is.

Would taking out Tarkin and running two tanks be better or just go with a straight Sion for Stormtrooper swap?

i'm currently running a 3* shore in my empire team. He's got over 70k health and protection at gear 10 right now w/ 175 speed. I'm on a 4 month old shard and he really helps me. I'm lvl 84 and once i get to 85, I'll be able to push Shore to gear 11 which means he'll have close to around 85k health and protection.
