If you have great speed mods but no malak and are trying to climb against a bunch of g13 underoos-wearing goobers, try this squad: DR, Nastila, HK, GMY, Nest. Mod your Nest one faster than your DR and both faster than the opposing DR. It helps a lot if you can also get GMY faster than the opposing Nastila. Nest’s basic clears SithT so you can hit DR with insanity. Boom: You have a huge lead. Nest isn’t just a one trick toony, either. She’s useful throughout. (Once leveled up, Shak Ti would also work in place of Nest bc she’s lightning fast and clears with her basic.)Obviously mod dependent, but it’s the most fun and effective non-malak counter I’ve found.

So you basically need two sets faster than your opponent's fastest set and you can win? That's new.

There's a Darth Revan in my shard that has 340 speed...Your advice only works if you have God mods and speed on your Darth Revan, which is very unlikely. 340? Yup. That went about as I expected. Sigh.
Yes, I have great mods. I can run my DR at 345, but there’s no big advantage to that. He’s my only g13 and I don’t have malak, so even when I get a big lead the opposing malak often wipes it out. JKR Thrawn is no longer effective against g13. This variation has had the most success.
If you can try it and it works for you great. Otherwise, just keep taking your bitter contrarian vitamins and spamming the forums at every weirdly self-serving opportunity.

No one said he’s useless, dinglesmuggler. But apart from the reading comprehension issues, you’re also working with a very different shard. There are zero Thrawns and only two JKR squads at all in my top 50. It’s all angry orange DR squads, and almost all have Malak. I used to run JKRThrawn to climb, but it stopped being reliable.

So, once more with an utter lack of feeling: this post was simply about a squad variation that works really well IF you have the speed. I did not foresee it would be such clickbait for malcontents. Now I know better.

Why does everyone always assume a lack of agreement is synonymous with a lack of reading comprehension? My only point was that compared to your setup, one with Thrawn would have way lower mod requirements (specifically, that it can still work against teams who have more speed than you). If your shard has a ton of G13 Malaks and no Thrawns, then I guess you can use Nest instead, but only if you have twice as good of mods as your opponent. Seems pretty esoteric, but hey, if that’s what you’re dealing with, then go for it. But you may want to lead with that very specific shard composition on your post.
