Spy in 3v3

I went in GAC 3v3 with my Traya team against bugs. I couldnt get a turn and Spy oneshot my Nihilus right at the beginning. Usually it hasnt happened so fast. Can someone explain a bit to me what should i do differently next time.... or its common in 3v3 that this can happen. I think his Spy was relic 3 Spy. My Traya team is G12. .... In the end i managed to win, but i dont get the mechanics, how Spy got oneshot so fast.

    Higher gear and relic level = higher dmg.
    If he's propperly modded aswell (focus on stacking crit chance to counter Trayas crit avoidance and offense) he one shots the Traya members, the 3v3 format has nothing to do with that.

    Actually, 3v3 could make Nihilus less tanky than 5v5. Less debuffs = less max health stacks on Nihilus. So Nihilus is most vulnerable to Spy's Silent Strike early in the battle. If Traya, Sion, and Nihilus debuffed Spy right before he went in 1 of the 1st few enemy turns, that's the most ideal position for a Spy 1-hit kill.
