There's a website swgoh.gg that allows you to show us your profile. Otherwise I will say pick jtr, Rey, bb8, gk and r2d2 or CLS gk rhs thrawn and r2d2 and work towards the requirements for all these characters.

Most would advise you to start over if you want to have any prayer of getting a decent payout. I can imagine Wiggs is still effective in the 200-500 range, but you need R2. Focus on empire to unlock r2.

After r2, get old ben, leia, STHan, and Farmboy Luke ready for CLS return.

Ships pay crystals now and might be an easier climb if you focus on your pilots, but even that will be tough. Phoenix has ships and are the path to Thrawn. You would have so much to do....I’d start over...Phoenix and scoundrels.

You are placed on an arena leaderboard when you unlock arena, so you are playing against people who have been playing roughly as long as you. If you take a long break, the rest of your leaderboard has continued playing during that time and you are way behind them. By starting over you can once again face folks at a comparable point in the game.

That's just arena, so if arena isn't your focus you might not feel it's worth it to restart. But just bear in mind that it will take a long time and be quite difficult to catch up in that particular area.

R2d2 is an event that happens every three months or so and you need 5 empire characters.

I don't have a clue what you have so I can't make any suggestions beyond here are the best characters in the game.

R2 is a legendary event that appears approximately every 2 months. To get him you need 5 empire characters of at least 5*, and to get him 7* you need 5 empire characters at 7*. Similar for the other legendaries - Yoda, Palpatine, Thrawn, BB8.

Commander Luke and Jedi Training Rey are similar, but you need 5 specific characters for each of them, they only unlock at 7*, and they may run less frequently (we don't really know since there's only been 2 CLS events and 1 JTRey event so far).

Wicket, Talzin, NS Spirit, NS Zombie can only be farmed from their events when they appear (supposed to be at least once a month) and require Ewoks and NS.

The new FO characters (Unmasked Kylo, FOSFTP, FO Executioner) will eventually become farmable normally but haven't gotten to that point in their release cadences yet.

ROLO and IPD can only be obtained through Territory Battle special missions. Wampa and Hermit Yoda are in the guild events store.

Han Solo (the regular one) and General Kenobi can only be obtained as rewards for the heroic Rancor and HAAT raids respectively.

All other characters (I think, I might have missed a couple) are farmable normally from nodes or shops.

Get in a guild doing heroic raids. Work on the raid characters picking up shards regularly. Build an empire team pick up r2d2 and cls. That will probably pull you up a few hundred places in your shard. You have a few good empire characters already so you can focus on the others.

You can then work bb8 and jtr requirements as you can and you will pick them up.
