Great writeup!
I think in many ways Han is the best pure tank because you actually need to get rid of him before he taunts -- if you don't you just have to kill him anyway, and you get destroyed by his turn meter manipuation. I am tempted to farm him even though I have RG and Poe. I think Poe is now underutilized and will make a return.
Amusingly, there are many glass cannons that are in some ways better tanks than tanks themselves. I often joke that Darth Maul and Rey are the best tanks in the game, Maul especially if playing Jedi. Guys like this who command your attention are essentially tanks even if not intended for that role.
I am also farming Savage who I think may become quite scary next week.
