Tanks and Crit Avoidance Mods?

In general, but more importantly for K2S0, Bosk and Paploo, is a Crit Avoidance worth having instead of Speed arrow?

  • Yes they are definitely worth it on certain tanks like mentioned above. I use one on SiT, Traya and Old Daka as well and they never let me down.

Anyone that needs to do something before they taunt or has an important ability (Sion) should be somewhat fast. Paploo and Bossk are engines and really needs to be fast. Storm Han and Scarif Pathfinder are also engines. Vandor should be fast. He doesnt taunt but has to use his basic or get a buff before his protection/rez engine starts. Pre and Auto taunters like Shore, GK, L3, K2, Sith Trooper, Zaalbar, Baze and Royal Guard can be slow. Auto Taunters also get the best use out of crit reduction arrows, since they will be taunting so much.

GK is an either or case because he auto taunts but also has 2 really good abilities that are good to use early. Juhani arguably could use damage mods and speed, but I'm still testing her.

I personally think that a crit reduction arrow with a high 15+ speed secondary is the God-mod for many tanks.

You could also argue that shore should be fast to spam heal. Probably situational.

Agree with all you said though.
  • Not directly on Topic since hes not a Tank, but whenever my OR team survives on D, Carth is almost alwats killed in the first battle because he has an IG88 level of toughness and can be instagibbed by a decent attacker. So since the team gets a bonus I put a crit reduction arrow (so he has 54%) with speed secondary on him and its seems to be making a difference.
