team comp advice

i'm player lvl 85, and not particularly new, but i took a couple years of hiatus and now I'm just a little lost? I always built a jedi team because i loved them, so i'm aiming for revanan(nearly there! literally 1 shard less for mission) but honestly for dark side characters & ships i have no idea. I'm trying genosis team maybe because i remember it's amazing, and all of them keep beating me in squad arenas. But I don't know if that's the best? Should I be trying for sith or nightsister or something else? any advice would be appreciated!
