So I hope on and see Palpatine in the characters and I check him out. Palpatine looks good way to good 40% chance to stun enemies and it hits everyone. Keep in mind this is level one no upgrades and we also have his leader ability which destroys Jedi and Rebels. -23% evasion and potency? Insane. We dont have him yet but just looking at him makes me scared. I also see a rise of stun teams like having Daka RG and Palpatine all together. He also have a unique ability that deals special damage to shocked enemies along with Jedi and Rebels. He seems to good and its starting to freak me out also it makes Jedi pointless why get Jedi when you have 1 character that could destroy your whole team. Yet we don't know yet we dont have his event but in a few hours we will so prepare for the worse.

I think he will be nerfed to the ground in a month or two, just like Yoda, who was OP too.

I never see rebel or Jedi teams aside from old Ben lead anyway in arena, so this change nothing.

It's about time. I wasted all my resources leveling up my empire and Sith characters. My maul, opress, are totally geared leveled and moded, dooku and studious jus need to get geared 10/11 on my end couple weeks max. Finally all the backlash I took for not following current metas finally paid off, my sith and empire team will be nasty as soon this event is complete, man this should help maul and Vader big time

Yoda lead with his tenacity up will buy you a few free rounds of immunity, and give you turn meter for all those 100% guaranteed resists. Yoda is way faster, so he'll go before Palpatine. And sith/empire toons are SLOW. You can kill a squishy Palpatine before he hits you with any of that.

As it stands right now, most sith/empire toons are so underpowered that Palpatine at best might make them barely viable against some teams. But that's about it. Let's see him in action before we assume he is single handedly ushering in Armageddon.

You guys saying that Jedi and Rebels aren't seen in arena must not be playing on mature servers. 2-3 Jedi or rebels are on good teams at the top of a lot of leader boards. Start here and look around a bit: https://swgoh.gg/meta-report/ the meta IS all Jedi and Rebel now. This will change that, and that is intended.
