The perfect start guide certainly needs an update, and I'm glad to see you write one.
When I was hoarding resources for my new account, I found it helpful to get some powerful allies early on, since this let me auto-attack all the daily challenges and win them instantly. (Lots of people are friendly and willing to share their ally codes on the forums.) I also used all of the "apology gems" given out by CG to buy sim tickets. I think you talked about this in your guide, but it's probably worth emphasizing.
When F2P players eventually start really playing the game at level 28, they should have lots of sim tickets, lots of credit-buyable shipment items, a few million credits saved in the bank, and at least a hundred level III ability materials (the purple ones).
