Thermal Detonator Arena Team requested by Velocitious!

Thanks! I always knew that thermal detonators have some use in this game.

Also, do you think that replacing Nebit with Boba as leader would be effective? It's because BHs gain turn meter whenever a TD explodes and gain speed for each enemy with debuffs.

Good squad, Personally i think a boba lead with Nute instead of jawa scavanger &Nebit would work more effectively especially since scav and Zam are kind of working against each.both thrive off detonating already stuck thermals so a mass det from scav prevents zam from steamrolling turns and zam stops scav from tenacity downing people by blowing the bombs

adding nute & boba would also give zam 55% more TM (for a total of 95%) every time she blows the a bomb (40% from her and 15 from boba lead)

Yea, probably in fact! I just know Boba's too common but it would definitely work, probably better! :) @Velocitious

@Roadburn12 Yea, probably, I just like the idea of jawas, dont ask why :lol:

I've been running my own Bomb Squad as my Scoundrel team for a few months now and although I haven't maxed their gear or mods out for a viable Arena team, they are a hell of a lot fun to use for Scoundrel events:
Geedo (L)
Zam
Nute
ME
Dengar (doesn't have TDs but his mini-mines got him past the interview)

The biggest hindrance for a TD team hinged on Zam is the atrocious AI Zam is subjected to. In a full Scoundrel team she gains 100% TM every time she detonates a TD. This means that she can pop each TD systematically without retort with each shot cooling her own TD swarm down. Under AI control she unfortunately uses her rather limp Expose as soon as it's available. In the Arena this massive defensive flaw will make the team substantially weaker on defence.

I think replacing ME with JE is better since ME's special is pretty much just like JE's basic. However, JE won't benefit from Greedo's leader ability unfortunately.

I only put my guys together for Scoundrel events but the biggest flaw to losing ME is that Zam doesn't get 100% TM and that's the linchpin to the lineup. A more effective replacement would be swapping ME for Boba and giving him the leader job.

That does look fun. What mods you have on Dengar? Full crit chance?

Dengar's a key debuffer to my Teebo team for the Pit so he's the best kitted toon in the squad - all the others are modded to clear Scoundrel events with ease but he has the lion's share of upgrades by comparison. With that in mind, I had to keep his his crit chance high enough to land a Tenacity-down but also boost his Potency to help his Speed-down from his charge attack:
1 x Crit Chance set with Crit Chance secondaries
1 x Potency set with a Potency primary cross
1 x Health set with Speed primary and Crit Chance primary on arrow and triangle (I can't afford to lose him from a Rancor triple attack)

He's running with:
Speed - 148 (45)
Crit Chance - 62.64 (32.64)%
Potency - 63.86 (36.86)%

Ideally, I'd probably want to swap the health set out for either a Crit Chance or Potency set with the same primaries (and health secondaries) but I haven't found a mod set with good enough Speed secondaries to make it worthwhile yet. Thankfully Ewok Elder and Rex improve his speed somewhat but it's still his weakest aspect.

That's a very well put together Dengar. After I 7 starred Raid Han my Dengar got very neglected. Good to see him in action in your video.
