Wampa Omicron Fail in GAC

Just done my first round of GAC and thought it would be great to try out my wampa omicron but was in horror to find non of the new abilities worked and my plan went out the window.

I fought a geo team, brood Alpha lead with 2 zeta at G9. I am sure they can't stop all the unique gains I get.

Anyone else having issues or have I missed something ?

The omnicron should have been voided on then initial attack.

It should not become active on later attacks, as the initial attack did not meet the requirements for the omnicron.

While for us, it’s multiple fights, the game should see it as one continuous battle.

Nope. Never worked that way. Same as if you kill the leader in 1st battle, lead ability does not apply in second... I thought you understood that.

I corrected my initial post, it should not apply to any battles after the initial stats or buffs we registered.

That doesn't make sense. In the leader case, you say the lead ability should not carryover because the initial condition of having a leader is not met in the second battle. In the wampa case, you say the omi shouldn't apply, because the condition of being solo wasn't met in the first battle.

    Which is it?

Correct, the requirements for for the omicron were voided on the initial lineup. Since this is treated as one encounter, there should be no changes even if it takes multiple attempts, the omnicron buffs would not apply.

Then why does the leader ability stop? If the leader ability was active for the first battle, and it's treated as one battle, the leader ability would apply in later battles even if leader was killed, according to that logic.

Well maybe I’m just wrong. Short of nights sisters Talzen lead, I was under the impression that the lead stops after death.

No, it definitely continues. But if they are killed, and not present at start of second battle, there will be no lead ability.

Same with wampa. If he's alone for the second battle, that's a seperate encounter and therefore those bonuses will apply.

I'm very curious how long have you been playing this game if you are unaware of how leads and unique work in multiple battles.

I think it speaks to his capabilities more than length of time playing.

oW seems good for: leftovers, seperatists, Mon Montha, Iden, GG that is not top tier, maybe SEE ... AVOID: Geos, Thrawn, traya, CLS, dash, kylos, padme, CAT, Rex, JMLS, Anything irresistible (daze, stun). At least for now

Also avoid anything with Tenacity Down.

SEE isn't likely after seeing more footage from this week. A decent SET stops Wampa pretty hard not to mention Traya or Malak.

For GG, I think the only thing to be worried about is GG8. I haven't had any issues with top tier GGs so far.
