Whats that purple shield?

Hey folks...

Just started with the game and sometimes there are matches where the opponents get constantly a purple live shield and a grenn kinda shield looking buff when I hit them. Allmost impossible to get a team like this down. Whats that ability and on what chars and how do I conquer it?
